Do i really need an internet connection to be able to access Burnout Paradise; Big Surf Island?

I just got Burnout Paradise for ps3 and i have updated the game with the newest version. I would really like to buy the Big Surf Island package, but soon i will lose internet connection for my ps3 for good. If the BSI package is already bought and downloaded, then will I still be able to access it when my internet connection is lost for good?

    I’m pretty sure that you will be able to play it. Once it’s downloaded onto your system, you really don’t need internet to play it.

    HI THERE,my answer is absolutely yes you can play it offline.Buy the island before you lose your connection,download it and then you will have it there always.Same thing with all the new cars you can buy online.(legendary cars,boost cars,toy cars etc.)The island is awesome there are new races to do,marked man,stunt run,road rage.And if u beat them all and also complete all the time rules and showtimes rules in the island u get (free) 9 new cars some of them are toys some of them not.The island is cool lots of amazing jumps i just love it.Theres one of the new cars i dont know if you will be able to get though.its the diamond p12 looking car ,you get only when you complete the 500 challenges online.I can tell you all of this cuz i love this game i have everything and i play it all the time lol.So yes you can play it offline have funnnn
