Halo: Combat Evolved for the PC – Invalid CD key?

A lot of people have asked this, but never received any helpful answers. How can I disable the CD key check (or otherwise elude the invalid CD key message) when trying to play Halo online? I own a copy of the game, but circumstances I don’t care to explain are preventing me from playing online. Keygens and modified game binaries don’t work, and searches on major Bit Torrent sites have yielded nothing.

***Don’t bother responding if you’re going to preach to me about legalities.
Re: Cat D
If I wanted to buy an 8-year-old game for the second time at $20 (look it up on Wal-Mart’s web site), I wouldn’t have asked this question in the first place.
Update:
Nevermind, I found Unreal Tournament 2004 at a much more “competitive” price. I like the game play better anyways.

Buy it again, (IF you bought it in the 1st place) You can prolly get it for 10 bux or less, and if that dosen’t work, buy 20-38 McDoubles.

You can get retail, legit keys for your PC-games at http://www.cdkey-shop.nl

I ordered 3 keys already and received all of them within 24 hours, so the site is legit. If the game you want isn’t listed just contact them and they will add it for you :)
