why is call of duty 4 the only game that has problems?

CoD 4 is the only game i have ever played where it stays on DOWNLOADING GAME SETTINGS when i try to go online or sometimes goes into this could not find free content index or something like that. why does my favorite game have to do all this stuff that no other game has to do to work? i don’t get it. and is it me or am i the only one getting it because everyone on my friends list are playing it right now as i type this question, but i can’t!

    I had this exact problem and it is quite simple to fix. Turn off your router and unplug all of its wires. Then do the same thing with the modem and swith your games console off.. Wait for about 20-30 secs and then plug the modem back in. When the modem shows all of its lights on then plug your router back in. This should work because i talked with the COD4 people. Good Luck!
